Color Theory - The Basics

Light

White light can be broken into the colors of the spectrum by shining through a prism.

Light Primaries

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet

Light Interactions

When the light primaries Red-Orange, Green, and Blue-Violet are projected in overlapping circles, they mix to form the light secondaries, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan. Where all three primaries overlay, they produce White.
